Can You Ride a Stationary Bike? Earn $ per Mile for Heroin Addiction Treatment

According to on-air statistics, more people died in New Jersey from heroin overdose last year than from vehicle accidents. Even more surprising; the Garden State is home to 10% of the nations heroin addicts -- some of which are as young as ten years old.

New Jersey Suburban Heroin Crisis 2014

Over 6 years time, the number of suburban New Jersey residents seeking help for heroin addiction grew more than 60 per cent, while 33 per cent fewer city dwellers sought similar assistance with heroin addiction.

Gov. Christie Announces Narcan Pilot Initiative

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie announced the Narcan Pilot Initiative today. The new Initiative will allow police officers and first responders to carry Narcan, the anti-narcotic which may save lives in cases of narcotics overdose.

Space is limited and a confirmed RSVP is required for attending this event.

Based on a Clinical Assessment and other factors, some New Jersey residents go away to inpatient rehab somewhere, while others "stay home" and attend outpatient treatment here in their NJ community. We traveled to help teach counselors at residential rehabs the importance of maintaining local ties to Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient treatment programs in our local NJ communities.
