"It's never too late to be what you might have been"

Pittman Borough officials and the GRASP (Gloucester Regional Addictive Substance Prevention) Coalition present an open forum to help educate Gloucester County citizens in the fight against drug abuse.
In the past, sales and use of addictive drugs has been concentrated in larger urban areas, but that trend has changed. No community, large or small, is safe from this statewide epidemic. Where Camden and Essex counties historically have had the highest per capita rate of treatment for addicts under the age of 25, Ocean County now that holds that dubious distinction.
Now Pittman Borough officials and the GRASP (Gloucester Regional Addictive Substance Prevention) Coalition on Wednesday, November 13, come together to empower Gloucester County citizens in the fight against drug abuse.
The GRASP sponsored open forum will start at 7:00 PM at the Pittman High School auditorium at 225 Linden Avenue in Pittman. There will be several speakers ranging from addiction specialists, Police Chief Robert Zimmerman, Mayor Russ Johnson and parents whose families have already been touched by this growing epidemic in our state.
Knowledge IS power, and the more we know the better we can prepare ourselves to protect our own townships and counties. If you need additional information about this meeting in Pittman, please contact Jackie Williams of the GRASP Coalition at 856-794-1011.
