The next Community Support and Education event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19th, 6:00pm - 7:30pm at The Counseling Center at Freehold, with guest Lou Krupkin and his drug detection dog Cabo.
Our next Community Support and Education event will be held on:
August 19th, 2014 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Special guest Lou Krupkin and his dog Cabo, beginning at 6:30pm sharp
Cabo doesn't think of it as work. For Cabo and other trained drug detection dogs, finding drugs is just part of play. Cabo's reward is a tennis ball.Drug-sniffing dogs have been used by military and law enforcement agencies, but have recently become helpful tools for employers and even treatment centers, to help prevent drug abuse. A walk-through by a trained dog can reveal hidden drugs or even traces of illegal drug use. Would you consider hiring a trained dog to inspect your own home, or your child's bedroom? Some parents have, and others are thinking about it.
Join us as we host dog trainer Lou Krupkin, who will bring his drug sniffing dog Cabo to the meeting. Lou will demonstrate Cabo's abilities, and we will discuss how drug-sniffing dogs may be a resource for families and employers who desire to support drug treatment and recovery. We hope to discuss some of the finer points that all parents should consider, which include relapse triggers, trust, and managing some of the daily challenges of living with a loved-one in early recovery from drug addiction.
If possible, please RSVP by August 12th at 732-431-5300 or via email
