"It's never too late to be what you might have been"
We think George Eliot would have appreciated our Intensive Outpatient Program
The Counseling Center at Freehold represented local New Jersey Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOP) to hundreds of treatment professionals at an annual conference in Florida this week. We are the local substance abuse treatment program for individuals staying in their home communities during treatment, and those returning home after a residential treatment program (rehab) in Florida.
There are good reasons for traveling to attend a rehab program in Florida for example, where the weather is less challenging than the Northeast, and several rehab programs maintain top tier facilities. For those who can travel and stay away for the duration of treatment, residential rehab provides a break from the old environment, including some old friends and acquaintances who may be enabling or encouraging use and abuse. For others, it is important to stay in the home community (to keep a job, manage a household or maintain school attendance). But those same stressors left behind while "vacationing" in Florida, exist upon return, or while attending treatment on an outpatient basis. Our Intensive Outpatient Therapy program is designed to achieve recovery while remaining in the home community.
For professionals treating inpatient guests at rehab facilities in Florida, The Counseling Center at Freehold is the professional, reliable, focal point for continuing treatment upon return to New Jersey. By visiting the "Moments of Change" conference in Florida, my colleagues and I were able to demonstrate that The Counseling Center is a trusted partner in the ever so important "Continuum of Care", and ready to work with treatment centers everywhere, helping New Jersey residents continue in recovery, supported during the challenges of relapse and living healthy, productive and sober lives.
