Our Veteran and Military Services Program aims to serve each Veteran and their family members with competent, compassionate, and responsive inpatient drug and alcohol rehab. Our therapies are administered in an environment that supports and understands the unique experiences of Veterans and military families. It’s one small way that The Counseling Center is able to give thanks to and support our heroes in uniform.
Commitment To Our Veterans
We give Veterans individualized care led by committed and accomplished clinical and medical experts with decades of experience in substance use treatment and evidence-based therapies. The Counseling Center works closely with most U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) providers to make certain that our substance use and behavioral health treatments are able to deal with specific healthcare needs.
Creating A Continuum Of Care
The Counseling Center works together with area VA facilities to provide and coordinate varying levels of care for qualified Veterans served by the VA Community Care Network (CCN).
At the foundation of our work is a recognized Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment model developed to accommodate the complete spectrum of addiction treatment needs from detox to outpatient counseling that perfectly complements the VA system of care. Our treatment model is known to be effective in helping VA patients achieve stability, improved health, and recovery from addiction and mental disorders. Features of our treatment model are:
- Instant access to comprehensive detox, residential, and outpatient services
- Case governance and treatment coordination with VA providers
- Specialized Veteran-centered psychiatry, internal medicine, counseling care, and peer support
- Medication-assisted treatment with FDA-sanctioned medications
- Meditation practice as a co-adjuvant treatment to lower anxiety
- Transportation provided to and from our facilities

Specially Designed Substance Use Disorder Treatment for Veterans
OptumServe has designated The Counseling Center as a provider under the VA’s Community Care Network to offer entitled Veterans with specialty Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment.
If you’re a qualified VA patient, you may benefit from expert assistance at The Counseling Center by getting a referral from your local VA facility or VA provider. Once the VA or VA provider sends the referral, we are able to immediately coordinate care with the VA, ensuring that you have full access to the therapies and services in our programs while also planning your return to the VA for other support.
The Counseling Center participates in case discussions with local VA administration to ensure program quality and the continued plan of care. And we constantly ask for feedback from Veterans and their loved ones to make sure that we are performing to your satisfaction.
